With a passion for achieving the best possible outcomes for her patients, Kim has forged a wonderfully accomplished and highly decorated career in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Her industry recognition includes an impressive array of awards, foreign scholarships, inductions, fellowships and presentations. Kim can provide invaluable insights and expertise to those looking to make informed, confident choices in elective cosmetic procedures.
Born and educated in New Zealand, Kim completed her medical training at the University of Otago Medical School in 1996. After graduating, she gained experience in all surgical specialities in New Zealand, before undertaking her Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Plastic Surgical training in Sydney between 2005 and 2008. A Fellowship in Melbourne then allowed Kim to focus on breast reconstruction, body surgery and skin.
A twelve-month stint at the Royal Children’s Hospital performing hand surgery and microsurgery has given Kim experience working with patients of all ages.
As a surgeon, Kim’s main areas of expertise are in female plastic surgery (breast procedures, body contouring and labiaplasty). She strongly believes in establishing a relationship with her patients spending the time to focus on their reconstructive or cosmetic goals to ultimately achieve the results they desire.
Kim has recently been appointed to the Council of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. The Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons Inc. (ASPS) is the peak body for Specialist Plastic Surgeons (both reconstructive and cosmetic). Their main role is to protect the integrity of plastic surgery as a specialty and to provide the highest quality plastic surgery care to all Australians.
Kim is an active member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.Book an appointment with Dr Kim Taylor
