The reality is we cannot guarantee you’ll be able to breast feed after a breast reduction procedure. The studies would suggest that 60% of women after a breast reduction are able to breastfeed. This compares pretty favourably with the general population of women who haven’t had a breast reduction.
Interestingly, a lot of women with large breasts have problems breastfeeding anyway. It’s not something you’ll really know until you try, but unfortunately, if you are unable to breastfeed after surgery, there’s nothing that can be done to change it.
