Dr. Richard Bloom (MED0001151476) is an experienced plastic surgeon, having performed over 4000 breast, body contour, and facial surgeries. He co-founded Re. with over 20 years’ as a plastic surgeon under his belt – bringing that expertise to his business.
After completing his Medical degree at Monash University, Richard spent the next ten years training at some of Australia’s most prestigious Plastic Surgery Centres – including a fellowship in the USA focusing on cosmetic surgery.
He’s passionate about helping people on their plastic surgery journey, creating a consultative environment where patients feel secure and confident to discuss their goals, their hopes, and their fears. This personal approach to each client means he is best able to help shape their expectations and recommend the most suitable procedure or treatment for their particular needs.
Richard has Specialist Plastic Surgery Registration, is accredited to operate at Melbourne’s most prestigious hospitals, and was formerly a council member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Kim Taylor (MED0001219365) has been a fully qualified plastic surgeon for over 15 years and co-founded Re. Plastic Surgery.
Kim graduated from the University of Otago Medical School in 1996. After graduating, she gained experience in all surgical specialities in New Zealand, before undertaking her Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Plastic Surgical training in Sydney between 2005 and 2008. A Fellowship in Melbourne then allowed Kim to focus on breast reconstruction, body surgery, and skin.
Her main areas of expertise are breast reductions and body contouring plastic surgery. She strongly believes in establishing a strong relationship with her patients, spending the time to listen to help workshop the best treatment for their goals – it’s all about communication.
Kim has Specialist Plastic Surgery Registration, is accredited to operate at Melbourne's top hospitals, and was formally on the Council of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Nurse Zephyr is our full-time nurse at Re. Plastic Surgery, originally from New Zealand. She’s an established nurse with 4 years' experience working in general surgery and absolutely loves being with our patients from your first day to your last ever post-op appointment.
You’ll first meet at your consult when she takes your pre-surgery pics and she will be your constant support throughout the process. Zephyr facilitates a pre-surgery appointment 2 weeks before the big day to walk you through what your hospital stay and recovery will look like, assists the surgeons in all your post-op check-ups, and is your point of contact with any recovery concerns or general questions.
Elli is our gorgeous surgical coordinator who will help be with you from the very first day at Re.
She’s in charge of providing quotes at your consult, organising the anaesthetist and other staff at your surgery, booking your hospital stays and ensuring you dot your i’s and cross your t’s so your surgical journey goes as smoothly as possible.
We know surgery can be confusing and a little intimidating, so Elli is here to demystify the process and answer all your surgery questions.
Madi, our lovely patient services coordinator, will most likely be the first person you talk to in your Re. journey.
She’s in charge of all our enquiries, answering questions for new and existing patients alike, and is the friendly smile you’ll see every time you check in for an appointment at the clinic.
